An important part of making the jamboree trip meaningful for the participants is having them work to earn their own money to pay the participant fee, purchase uniforms and equipment, and for their spending money. Motivated Scouts will find ways to earn money locally, such as offering lawn and snow removal services. Home troops often have their own fundraisers, like spaghetti feeds and pancake breakfasts, that will help boys earn funds. The Central Minnesota Council contingent will provide two product sales opportunities for Scouts to earn their way to Jamboree: Mr. Z’s frozen foods and Trails End popcorn. The
Mr. Z’s product sale will be a selection of
frozen foods, including pizzas, pies, sandwiches,
and more. Scouts will take pre-orders and collect
money when they deliver the items to their
customers. Scouts should not wear their uniform
while selling.
